The successful Director of Client Services will have:

  • Current registration in a regulated health professional Ontario college, preferably RNAO, in good standing**
  • A graduate degree in business or health administration
  • A passion for client/patient cared care
  • Progressive leadership experience with minimum 5 years management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and lead a team along with a highly experienced leadership team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong expertise in leveraging technology
  • Outstanding people skills including demonstrating a commitment to valuing all employees for the valuable role they play in the provision of care
  • Demonstrated support for CTG’s Quality Charter
  • A successful record of being self-motivated and well organized

The role will require:

A. Planning, directing and evaluating established metrics in the support and delivery of professional high quality services provided by the local teams within the region(s) and the Nursing Clinics operated by Closing the Gap: **

  • Works with Executive Team to plan and evaluate service delivery and budget compliance for multiple team locations and including clinics and community services
  • Ensures that service is delivered in compliance with contractual obligations, relevant legislation, regulatory and professional standards and Closing the Gap Healthcare Quality Charter and budget management
  • Supports the Office and Clinic Leadership to manage Quality and Budget expectations in a team environment
  • Works with local teams and leadership to establish and execute a plan to improve quality of services
  • Ensures timely reporting and follow up complies with accountability and performance agreements and processes are established to enable this

B. Develops collaborative relationships built on a foundation of mutual trust and respect with internal and external health care leaders:

  • Represents CTG and builds solid working relationships within the healthcare sector including clients and families with a vision of improving and expanding care opportunities for communities
  • Actively seeks opportunities and participates on local or provincial committees or boards as required

C. Expands existing services and develops new health care initiatives on behalf of CTG:

  • Participates in the development of RFP submissions
  • Participates in opportunities to network and build services. Seeks opportunities for profiling the high quality services delivered by CTG teams through public speaking, poster presentations and volunteering
  • Researches in partnership with academic institutions and local planning bodies to evaluate demographic factors, industry trends and market pressures

D. Providing leadership and support to Manager(s) and all staff:

  • Provides oversight and evaluation for local teams in collaboration with Manager(s)
  • Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with our Quality Charter , policies and procedures and applicable legislation
  • Provides education, mentoring and support for management staff in interviewing, hiring/contracting, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance and contract compliance, peer review, rewarding/disciplining, and conflict resolution
  • Supports management to identify, reduce, eliminate, monitor/track and prevent unsafe situations for Clients, workers, caregivers and other stakeholders

E. Providing leadership support across the organization that is consistent with the strategic priorities of Closing the Gap Healthcare and it’s Quality Charter: **

  • Develops content expertise in a clinical or business unit that is congruent with the company’s strategic priorities
  • Provides corporate leadership and support in the development of documentation, policies etc. along with ongoing consultation and support to all local teams and clinics

F. Internal Communication:

  • Develops and demonstrates awareness of the valuable roles and responsibilities and interconnectedness of all staff
  • Works with the Executive and Management Teams to ensure an effective communication strategy is developed and operationalized throughout the organization
  • Works with the Executive and Management Teams to develop and implement project plans that support transition management plans for implementation of new initiatives

G. Health and Safety and Wellness:

  • Knowledgeable of responsibilities under all applicable acts and legislation
  • Demonstrates support for client and staff safety and ensures that all local teams and clinics are compliant with the Client Safety Standards

H. Ethical Decision-making:

  • Demonstrates behaviours that are consistent with professional codes of conduct and company policies related to ethical decision-making
  • Builds the capacity of management staff for ethical decision-making through regular case study discussion and availability for consultation
