Who we are…
The Public Service Commission (PSC) is a department of the Yukon government that provides human resource advice and support services to other departments and employees, acts as the employer on behalf of the government and establishes and maintains human resource legislation, policies and collective agreements. PSC coordinate the majority of internal corporate communications within the Yukon government.
The Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS) branch within the PSC is responsible for the ongoing operation of all corporate human resource systems, which include PeopleSoft, the Leave Management system, and system interfaces with internal and external applications.
The responsibilities of Senior HRMS Analyst are to ensure that government-wide human resource information systems effectively support the delivery of human resource services in the government and sets a course for managing change over time. As a senior member of the HRMS branch, the position provides expert guidance for analysis, development and operation of the Government of Yukon’s corporate human resource information systems. This position also provides leadership for the business processes and information systems that deliver the government’s human resource functions and ensures that the systems are compliant with corporate standards, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field;
Experience writing SQL queries in relational databases (e.g. Oracle);
Experience implementing, supporting and troubleshooting Human Capital Management (HCM) software (such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.);
Experience in functional analysis and business improvement practices, ideally in an human resources and/or payroll environment;
Experience providing client support in an IT environment; and
Experience with PeopleSoft PUM, Jira, SharePoint and agile software development processes would be an asset.
Candidates with an equivalent combination of education or training combined with considerable experience to the essential qualifications may be equally considered.
