310T MECHANIC OR APPRENTICE (EVENING SHIFT)

We have locations in Vars, Ottawa, Kingston, and Montreal. As a result of our continuous growth and success, we are currently seeking 310T, 310S, and 310J qualified or apprentice technicians to work out of our Vars location on the evening shift (Monday - Thursday 1630-0230). Evening shift staff receive premium shift pay.

Job Duties

  • Perform repairs and service on van bodies, trailers, roll up and barn doors
  • Perform repairs on tailgates and ramps
  • Perform safety checks and inspections on trucks and trailers
  • Perform maintenance services, with the primary focus on all refrigeration unit such as Carrier and/or Thermo King commercial refrigeration equipment designed for commercial trucks and trailers
  • Recharge systems with refrigerant and performing routine checks
  • Perform preventative maintenance on trailers
  • Assist in the installation and replacement of various transportation equipment components
  • Read schematics
  • Ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency
  • Maintain a clean working area free from dirt and debris between tasks and at end of day
  • Ensure outputs meet production schedules, safety and quality standards, as well as customer needs
  • Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity, product quality, and safety
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery
  • Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on all equipment and tools
  • Mark, record, and report defective products
  • Other tasks assigned by the supervisor or management
  • Possible evening and weekend shifts

Job Requirements

  • 310T, 310S, or 310J Licensed Mechanic or Apprentice, or willing to go through sponsored apprenticeship program for one of the above licenses.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 50 kilograms
