We are looking for a Maintenance Planner / Scheduler
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Scheduler / Scheduler will provide Sanimax with comprehensive maintenance schedules and schedules to ensure maximum utilisation of maintenance staff, in complete safety, as well as minimal interruption of operations / production.
Specific responsibilities for planning:
Develop work groupings (steps) with the necessary information to enable efficient planning, assignment and execution of maintenance work.
Determine the tasks and sequence needed to complete the job.
Ensure that the duration of each task and assignments in human resources are estimated.
In collaboration with the purchasing group, order the necessary parts and materials.
Develop the correct work instructions for each task.
Use the Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and other computer applications to make planning and reporting more efficient and effective.
Provide technical assistance as required for maintenance personnel.
Develop work order templates for repetitive work.
Management of the parts list (BOM) related to the work plans.
Specific responsibilities for scheduling:
Create weekly schedules from work orders in the maintenance management system.
Determine the accuracy and availability of internal or contractual resources
Examine incomplete work to ensure that it is reprogrammed according to its importance.
In collaboration with Production, confirm availability of equipment for scheduled maintenance
Maximise the amount of work that can be done when equipment is available
Check the duration of the tasks and the planned work hours to provide a level workload
Ensure that all external and internal resources (labor, parts, services, tools and equipment) are available to reflect the schedule of scheduled activities.
Develop the schedule of tasks, taking into account the availability of labor, operational requirements and an understanding of time, cost and quality estimation
Participate in quality assessments of preventative maintenance and other work orders
Ensure that the weekly schedules required for the work control process are prepared, published and distributed to all concerned.
Technical diploma (DEC or DEP) in mechanics, electrical or planning or any relevant experience;
5 years of experience in a similar role / in an industrial environment
Microsoft Office tools: Excel, Outlook and Word
Ability to use a maintenance management system (CMMS) and be able to generate reports
Interact with all trades / professional disciplines and levels of maintenance and operations management.
