This position is responsible to lead a team of IT professionals (the Service Management team) in the development, implementation, management, and continual improvement of Service Management practices and processes for the Provincial Identity Management (IDIM) Program, in a shared services infrastructure model for core Government and Broader Public Sector clients. This includes the responsibility to provide tier 2 technical support, and escalation (to tier 3) support for IDIM identity and authentication services, Incident Management, technical Change Management, coordination of the Change Advisory Boards (CAB), Service Reporting / Metrics for BCeID and BC Services Card services. The purview of the Service Management team also includes product Quality Assurance testing, User Experience testing, and Communications management.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

Degree in computer science or equivalent AND five (5) years of related* work experience; OR
Diploma in computer science or equivalent AND seven (7) years of related* work experience; OR
Certificate in computer science or equivalent AND eight (8) years of related* work experience.
  • Related work experience must include:
5 years’ experience in leading technical operations or service management processes in a complex application environment, supporting a large, diverse, corporate business enterprise.
Experience in contract and vendor management.
2 years’ experience supervising staff and providing technical advice to work teams.
Experience in, two or more of the following, and the ability to develop expertise in all of the following, as required for the nature and scope of the project or assignment:
Business analysis and project management on high risk projects, including management of financial and human resources;
Application and Business Process technologies;
Knowledge of the ITIL service management framework.
Preference may be given for experience with identity management related initiatives.
