FirstOnSite Restoration has an immediate opening for a District General Manager in the Western Region of Ontario.

FirstOnSite Restoration is the largest independent disaster restoration company in Canada. With coast-to-coast coverage and 24/7 emergency service, we offer a wide range of services that remediate conditions caused by fires, floods, winds, mould, environmental hazards, accidents and other casualties at any type of facility.

Position Summary:
The District General Manager, Western Ontario is to carry out the mission, plans and initiatives as set out by the Senior Management Team in order to achieve the goals and objectives of the Company’s strategic plan. The DGM provides the overall leadership, motivation and management, at the district level, to positively impact Branch Operations, Estimating, Sales, Rebuild, Administration and maintain adequate GP levels. The DGM promotes implementing FOS Standard Operating Procedures at all levels as the most efficient path to standardization. If the DGM’s district is comprised of a branch where there is no Branch Manager position then the DGM assumes the roles and responsibilities of the Branch Manager position as well.

District General Manager Responsibilities:
Build and manage relationships with partners, team members and customers.
Lead business development, emergency and construction activities within your district.
Promote a proactive sales and business development culture in your district.
Employee Engagement/Leadership
Build, lead and deploy the team with the goal of achieving the objectives of our corporate strategic plan.
Ensure that the company health and safety policies and procedures are followed for FOS personnel and sub-contractors.
Work closely with the BM and Operations Management to review branch and district resources and to share resources as required.
Complete performance reviews.
Drive performance in branches through employee feedback and follow through by implementing Training and Development plans.
Cost Efficiency/Operations
Delivers and supervises GP margin targets for the branches.
Responsible for meeting branch EBITDA targets.
Maintains Accounts Receivables at 90 days or under.
Conducts exception invoice review.
Works with BM to achieve GP, Branch Budget, Growth and AR targets.
Customer Service Excellence
Resolve customer and operational efficiencies by meeting either the standard FOS KPI orthe individual KPIs established for a particular customer.

Education and Experience:
Minimum 3 years experience (ideally 5 or more) in the restoration/emergency industry
Proven job related success in a construction management role
IICRC or equivalent certifications an asset but will train.
College Diploma in Business Administration or Finance or certification in a recognized trade; or combination of relevant training courses in related fields and relevant experience may be acceptable in lieu of the academic requirements.
