As a Residential Support Worker, you will provide quality person-centered support to youth and adults in the home, the community under the supervision of a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and Clinical and Operational Manager. You will receive a comprehensive orientation including CPI Training and ongoing supervision.
As a Residential Support Worker, you will be:
Supporting clients with community involvement and independence to optimize the individual’s quality of life
Assisting and teaching daily living activities, and life skills to promote the self-esteem and well-being
Daily documentation and reporting
Medication Administration (as delegated)
Managing challenging behaviors and situations using Safety Care knowledge and principles
Assisting with household activities and chores
Other responsibilities as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
To take on the role of Residential Support Worker, you must have:
Certificate from a related field such as Diploma in Behavior Science, Developmental Service Worker (DSW), Child and Youth Yorker, Degree or Diploma from a Human Services related program
Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening within the last 3 months
Collaborative with an interdisciplinary team including family members
Good oral and written communication skills
Proven interpersonal and organizational skills
