Overview:
Under direction of Managing Director Canada with dotted-line reporting to the International Marketing Manager coordinate various marketing, and administrative activities related to Pelican business in the Canadian market, including: coordination of tradeshows and tradeshow logistical requirements, advertising support, direct mail campaigns and email blasts, design/editing of marketing and advertising materials, Dealer support and sales promotions. Assist as required in general marketing duties for company events and initiatives. It will also involve taking on such responsibilities as market research, competitive analysis (overall and within specific Canadian markets) and event planning (partner meeting, sales meetings etc.).

What You’ll Do:
Maintain a tradeshow calendar and coordinate all aspects of Pelican participation, either on a corporate level or through a co-operative marketing.
Assists with trade show formalities from initial contract to completion: registration of booth & all relevant services, coordination of samples, signage and marketing literature.
Responsible for maintaining the tradeshow samples and marketing literature inventory. Count and replenish the stock as required. Responsible for adequate level of marketing materials (catalogs, brochures, price lists, stationary).
Provide support in the launch and communication of new products and other corporate announcements to Pelican internal Sales team and to the Customer Channels.
Maintain the customer lists and provide on-going communication through email marketing and direct mail efforts.
Assist in the development of tradeshow and advertising schedules by researching new exhibitions, print and online advertising opportunities and professional associations. Make recommendations for approval, including venues, space, frequency, costs.
Prepare Product Price List files. Prepare price list for publishing and help coordinate the distribution of printed price and product lists.
Use desktop publishing and illustration design software to create/edit various marketing graphic materials, such as ads, flyers, brochures, catalogs, postcards, technical manuals, instruction inserts and other marketing materials as needed.
Assist in developing and coordination of sales promotions to help drive incremental sales.
Assist in gaining direct "Voice of the Customer" activities including direct customer calls, face-to-face meetings, and customer collaboration in order to effectively steer relevant marketing initiatives.
Assist in reviewing and coordination of Dealer Support activities (tradeshow support, advertising and promotional efforts, literature needs, etc.). Respond to graphics-related inquiries or requests, and supply materials to dealers or customers as required.
Responsible for Website maintenance and design. Monitor and track web activity.
Travel to and participate in trade shows as required.

What you’ll Need

Microsoft Office: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (email) – All required
CRM Packages or Email Marketing Tools: Salesforce.com, Vertical Response, Eloqua
Working knowledge of the following graphics packages: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat), Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Page Maker is a plus
Web design/html skills, publishing, and understanding of Goggle Analytics SEO and maintaining a corporate website.
Prior marketing experience and a degree in Marketing or related field.
Demonstrate knowledge/experience of/with key marketing mix channels including advertising, online marketing, email marketing, direct mail, public relations and events and promotions.
Must be accurate, organized, detail-oriented and thorough in all areas of work.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Must have the ability to complete assignments within time frame specified by the Assistant Marketing Manager.
