We are looking to fill the following position in our Montreal, QC location:
Director, Information Security
The Insurity Enterprise Security Team is currently in search of a self-driven expert in Information Security/Network Architecture to serve as our Director, Information Security. This is a highly technical role focused on addressing and overseeing all aspects of Enterprise Security. You will report to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and oversee and advise various groups within Insurity, guiding them and holding them accountable for adhering to security requirements. In addition, you will identify and remediate security gaps, manage the Vulnerability and Vendor Risk programs and ensure the security of Insurity’s employees, clients and Intellectual Property. Experience in securing complex, domain centric, hosted and internal infrastructures and familiarity with data protection laws and regulations such as SOX, AICPA SOC, PCI, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA are necessary for success in this role.
What you’ll be doing:
Providing Senior technical security guidance to technical teams
Providing security expertise to network IT personnel
Identifying security gaps in the environment and ensuring swift resolution
Strategizing creative solutions to complex technical problems
Training and Mentoring other security personnel
Making decisions on security incidents and executing on Incident response plans
Execute security actions on systems and services
Administrating, engineering and configuring security technologies
Reviewing and advising on tool policies to ensure secure configuration
Prepare for functional compliance readiness
Prepare for and participate in IT and Governance Audits
Answer and liaise on customer questionnaires and inquiries
Follow up with responsive and unresponsive teams driving progress on tracked issues
Craft and prepare metrics and KPI’s for CISO and executive management review
Support information security, compliance and governance inquiries from other teams within Insurity
Review, update and test plans such as the BCP, IRP and DR plans
Travel up to 40%
What you’ll need:
5-10 years of experience working in a Security role
5 years experience managing people
2-3 years network administrative experience
2-3 year’s experience administrating a windows focused infrastructure
1-2 years experience on apple and Linux systems
Bachelor’s degree in related field (equivalent work experience may be considered)
Work experience successfully managing projects and tasks within a large company with multiple departments
Comprehensive understanding and experience in various IT and security frameworks
Highly proficient written and oral English communication skills
Mastery of converting business and technical risks into actionable tactical tasks
Experience working with and managing policies, procedures, standards and guidelines related to SSAE18, NIST and PCI
Deep Experience utilizing Windows, Linux, SIEM, Firewalls, IPS, DLP, Cisco, Juniper, next generation antivirus, antivirus/anti-malware in an enterprise environment.
Deep Experience with Virtual Machine infrastructure
Deep Experience with public cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
Strong knowledge of data privacy concepts and leading data privacy legislations including GDPR and US Federal and State regulations and acts.
Security technical certifications such as CISSP, CISA, etc.
