Aramark Healthcare is seeking qualified candidates for a Full-Time Three Month Contract as a Housekeeping Supervisor for Long Term Care Facility. In this role you will establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified approach to patient/resident care. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintaining effective relationship with client and demonstrating knowledge of contents of current Aramark/client contract.
Assist with the hiring, evaluation and disciplining of housekeeping employees; prepare work schedules and maintain adequate staffing.
Inspect cleanliness of facility, sanitation and infection control; take corrective action where necessary.
Ensure all departmental spaces (to include housekeeping supply and administrative spaces) are kept in accordance with Aramark and facility standards of cleanliness and appearance; ensure all equipment is clean, labelled, and kept in good repair.
Co-ordination of customer satisfaction activities.
Communication with and through Resource Centre (2000) to ensure on-time and accurate delivery of services and prioritizing of work.
Co-ordinates problem solving activities to improve/solve customer service issues.
Works with nursing and risk management to co-ordinate resolution of patient and customer complaints.
Provides leadership to ensure effective quality management and efficiencies are achieved.
Delivers strong operational performance by executing against Aramark Healthcare and regulatory agency standards and programs, continually monitoring operations, completing assessments and developing necessary action plans to provide optimal managed services and drive patient and customer satisfaction.
Ensures compliance to all safety and sanitation standards.
Interacts with Client Management and maintains effective client and customer relations at all levels with client organization, including conducting rounding. Identifies Aramark service expansion opportunities.
High school diploma required. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum three to five years’ environmental services experience.
Minimum of two to three years’ experience in a supervisory role.
Skilled in supporting and motivating staff.
Working knowledge of infection control techniques.
Strong communication (listening, verbal and written), customer-service, organization and planning skills.
