Job Description

Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, the successful applicant will assume a key role in developing the infrastructure for complex engineering data analysis that is automated and available as engineering dashboards, as well as supporting a custom software application used for data collection, material tracking, documentation control and traceability at Redlen (the “Redlen Database”).

Key responsibilities include:
Designing and developing an infrastructure that supports rapid engineering data analysis, engineering dashboards and process and yield deviation signal detection.

Identifying and documenting application requirements by interviewing customers and analyzing existing work processes

Designing and coding enhancements and fixes to a VB.NET windows application

Creating and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server tables, stored procedures and views

Performing unit testing and correcting identified issues

Supporting users by conducting training, providing information and resolving problems

Interfacing with many areas of the company (Process & Test Engineering, Planning, QA, R&D and IT) to enhance the functionality of the software application

Minimum 2 years of experience in designing data analytic solutions

Experience developing and implementing databases in SQL

Microsoft SQL Server design and T-SQL coding

Troubleshooting and providing user support in a manufacturing environment

Requirements analysis, user interface design and software testing

Skills/Additional requirements:
A creative-thinking and innovative individual who works well in a team environment

Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills

Able to work with limited supervision, but can work towards milestones, goals, and to timelines

Demonstrated positive attitude and self-motivation

Diploma or Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
