Under the supervision of the Director, Public Affairs and in consultation with the Okanagan College Alumni Association (OCAA), the Alumni Relations Coordinator provides support for alumni programs, activities and events, to enhance communications, build relationships and create a strong sense of community with Okanagan College’s alumni. Ensures annual goals, budgets and objectives are met; coordinates and creates publications, websites and other communications including social and online media (including short videos); coordinates the business relationships and affinity and benefit programs of the alumni; participates in setting priorities and budgets to coordinate strategies aimed at engaging alumni; coordinates and promotes the OCAA; and, liaises with Advancement on alumni fundraising activities.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations or a related field is required. A minimum of two years’ experience in alumni relations or communications and marketing is preferred. Knowledge of not-for-profit organizations and Board management is an asset. Knowledge and prior use of the Raiser’s Edge database is an asset

Travel may be required. Hours and days of work may vary with work on weekends and/or evenings required.
