What is the opportunity?
The Manager, Procurement Strategy & Business Insights will be responsible for supporting analytics across Global Procurement. The Manager will support and enable data-driven decision-making within procurement activities, such as sourcing, analyzing the data including spend data, industry information, bid responses in order to optimize and improve business outcomes.
The Manager will tackle lower complexity challenges with templates and repeatable processes with additional support from leadership on more complicated assignments to structure the problem, outline the approach to solving and make recommendations.
What will you do?
Business analytics to support procurement activities across the ~$6.5B annual procurement and ~$3M annual addressable spend.
Activities including: RFx modeling and decision-making support: spend analysis and planning, benchmarking, industry research, bid evaluation and deal modeling, spend forecasting
Category strategy analytic support: category and supplier spend analysis, external research on macro and micro economic influences, category landscape, supplier trends, etc.
Support other strategic procurement activities, such as P2019 – Procurement Strategic Evolution, Quarterly Business Reviews, scorecard consolidation, etc.
Support other risk and governance-related items to effectively enable the Global Procurement team to manage risk, leverage best practices effectively and efficiently
What do you need to succeed?
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, and/or similar discipline with analytical bias
4+ years’ experience in business/financial analytics
Expert level in Microsoft Office applications; particularly Excel skills (pivots, complex logic statements, lookups, etc.)
Excellent conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills
Effective and strong written and oral communication skills
Fearful of mediocrity
Related experience within a matrixed corporate environment.
