Representing over 2,200 REALTORS® in Manitoba, The Manitoba Real Estate Association (MREA) is seeking a dynamic individual with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills who is motivated to learn, takes initiative; and has extensive experience in project coordination and administrative duties, to join its education team.

Representing over 2,200 REALTORS® in Manitoba, The Manitoba Real Estate Association (MREA) is seeking a dynamic individual with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills who is motivated to learn, takes initiative; and has extensive experience in project management/coordination to join its education team. Reporting to the director of education, the education program specialist is responsible for: program development for the annual relicensing program; program development for the certificate program; ensuring up-to-date education information in the career guide, forms, and on the website; program creation and coordination for legislative and professional development sessions; management of annual program corrections/updates; education research and implementation; accessibility policy creation and implementation; and management of annual projects. The education program specialist will also be assigned other project management/coordination and administrative tasks as identified by the director of education.

As a top candidate, you will have:

  • Three to five years of project coordination experience
  • Aminimum of three years of administrative support experience and/or relevant experience
  • A bachelor’s degree, or experience in adult education or course development; or experience within an education setting
  • Experience managing and working with external consultants
  • Knowledge of operating standard office equipment

Key skills and capabilities, and demonstrated strengths in:

Business

  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Internet Explorer, Access
  • Experience with learning management software and database software is preferred
  • Ability to use database software to input, organize, track, and retrieve data

Personal

  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, oral and written communication skills; ability to explain concepts to ensure understanding
  • Collaborative teamwork skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates motivation and takes initiative

Work Standards

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
