The Host Family Recruitment Coordinator provides support to the Homestay Department and other departments at Red Leaf by recruiting host families, managing social media, following up with local coordinators, and advertising for host families

As a member of the Homestay Department, you will (1) work effectively as a team member to ensure that departmental goals are met. We expect that you (2) handle sensitive information and data with meticulous attention to detail, tact, diplomacy and confidentiality.

You will (3) recruit and ensure host family deadlines are being met for programs (4) managing the host family social media accounts.

At all times, you will be responsible (5) for host family interviews and screening families and (6) for monitoring the quality of each host family and identifying opportunities for the improvement of the quality of host families.

Prior to the start of the program, you will (7) be responsible for the liaison with the homestay department to ensure the number of families needed for a program are in place and deadlines are met. You will also (8) need to strategies new ways of recruiting families and attend schools and events to give potential hosts more information.

Please note: this position will (9) require commuting across our communities in Southern Ontario (GTA), for which you will need a vehicle and a valid driver’s license. It may often (10) require following up on issues outside of regular working hours in emergency situations.
