AMD is seeking a Program Manager for the GPU Product Engineering Team in Markham. This is a great opportunity to use your silicon production experience to define and manage key product deliverables/schedules and drive cross-functional activities.
The successful candidate has outstanding presentation and delivery skill-and is comfortable collaborating with all levels and org functions. They are a team player with a commitment to meeting deadlines and an aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
The Program Manager will be responsible for pre-silicon planning. Once silicon arrives, he/she will drive customer samples execution and high volume manufacturing readiness.
Managing horizontally across several functional organizations is a key job function.
The role will require working hand-in-hand with our Asia engineering counterparts, extensive interactions within the product engineering organization, and interacting with several other internal organizations (design, supply chain, marketing, platform).
IDEAL CANDIDATE WLL HAVE:
Experience w/ taking ASICs, GPUs, or CPUs from 1st Silicon to volume production
Experience working in a team environment and actively driving solution
Experience in communicating and coordinating across multiple internal functional organizations (Engineering – US and abroad, Supply Management, Finance)
Background in Silicon Program Management or PMP Course Completion
Background in Solid State Physics, Computer Architecture, Digital or Analog Design
Background in Product Engineering or Test Engineering
Degree: BSEE, BSCE, MSEE, MSCE or equivalent (6 years post-grad experience).
