WSP is currently seeking a Intermediate Mechanical Designer to join our Mechanical & Electrical Department, located at our Markham office. Reporting to the Manager, Mechanical this position will be responsible for design, 3D model (AutoCAD and Revit), installation details, and contract admin (CA) services on various transportation projects. .

Setup CAD and Revit models for mechanical team. Coordinate with other disciplines including architect for project Revit setup, including BIM360, family, etc. be familiar with iCRC concept;
Preparing 3D models in Revit 3D all mechanical systems as mentioned above;
Complete understanding of the various mechanical system design for ventilation, heating, cooling, air conditioning, piping, plumbing, and natural gas to help the project engineers and project managers with setting up the project, technical information, technical specification, site activities, contract admin and construction.
Ability to perform interdisciplinary coordination with Electrical, Structural, Civil, Transportation, and Architectural disciplines per project requirement;
Perform individually or as a team member with mechanical discipline;
Other duties as assigned/required.
College graduated with technician or technologist degree (with 2 or 3 years of Canadian College Program), in mechanical engineering;
Up to 10 years of experience with designing mechanical systems for buildings, transportation, and industrial projects including but not limited to: Hydronic heating and cooling, SAN and STM piping, hydronic snow melting and infloor heating, mechanical room setup, natural gas piping and distribution, equipment installation details and assembly, potable water distribution, compressed air design and piping, generator room ventilation and fuel system, wet & dry sprinkler system, clean agent fire suppression system, and building automation;
Ability to work independently to deliver comprehensive designs and meet the deadlines;
Exemplary interpersonal skills with team members and other disciplines;
Detail oriented, Organized, Hard worker, and Team Player attitude to Perform under pressure to meet the deadlines;
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
