We have a current job opening for a Branch Manager in our Electrical Winnipeg location. Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Electrical Winnipeg Branch Manager will direct sales and operating activities of our wholesale and retail branches with responsibility for the achievement of profitability, sales, margin, inventory and expense goals. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Leading by example, demonstrating excellence in customer service and cultivating an atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork in providing customer service.
  • Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment is a top branch priority by establishing and enforcing safety and health policies and procedures.
  • Implementing internal and external customer service standards.
  • Ensuring staff are continually provided with ongoing system, sales, customer service, and product knowledge training.
  • Providing day-to-day leadership and direction to direct reports by communicating job expectations, appraising job results, coaching, counseling, and disciplining as required; conducting regular performance reviews.
  • Developing and managing sales and operating budgets.
  • Working closely with the Regional Sales Manager to create and implement programs to drive sales and improve margins.
  • Implementing price, credit, and delivery policies; assist in resolving credit issues.
  • Establishing strong customer relationships.
  • Ensuring the warehouse is organized and operated efficiently.
  • Overseeing management of inventories within budget.
  • Participating in development of capital expense budgets.
  • Serving as liaison between the branch, other branches and Head Office departments.

To be considered for this excellent opportunity, you must possess:

  • Minimum 5 years industry experience
  • Previous branch management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team
  • Strong decision-making, analytical, communication and networking skills
  • High level of commitment to customer service
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good computer skills
