To plan, coordinate, purchase and manage inventory levels for all inventory and non-inventory purchased items for the Bremen GA facility.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
Leads S&OP and planning processes for WNA Food Service Bremen.
Ensures sixty day target inventories on key products.
Ensures continuity of supply for all products.
Ensures forward capacity issues are communicated and addressed with preventive actions.
Defines constraints and potential solutions.
Monitors tooling refurbishment needs and scheduling.
Ensures early warning communications on product availability issues to all key stakeholders.
Responsible for data integrity of IFS production planning parameters.
Responsible for purchasing of material and services required to support the production schedule, site needs and product forecasts.
Secure quotes from suppliers for new material requirements.
Monitor supplier performance and inventories in relation to open purchase orders.
Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, site and division.
Participates on teams for Quality, Cost Savings and Continuous Improvement
Maintains professional competence, knowledge and skill to satisfactorily perform all assigned responsibilities.
Prepare and follow up and material deliveries from supplier to plant location Order follow up to ensure timely delivery to support daily production and sales.
Prepare and follow up and material deliveries from supplier to plant location
Works with suppliers, Facility Quality and Production Manager on any required reworks or returns on quality issues.
Works with suppliers to secure food safety documentation of their products
Schedule site and facility visits to verify capabilities to meet quality standards and production capabilities
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred. Minimum Associate’s Degree with significant planning experience.
Experience with ERP, MPS, MRP II or other resource planning systems including forecasting, demand planning and capacity analysis; experience with IFS preferred.
Must have the interpersonal skills needed to facilitate change and improvement.
Strong Excel and data management skills required.
CPIM or equivalent certification preferred.
Operations experience, including forecasting and planning preferred
Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills (including VLOOKUP and pivot tables).
Sitting at workstation approximately 60 percent of work time. Standing and walking approximately 40 percent of work time.
Must be able to travel (including by air) up to 25 percent of work time.
Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice.
Following GMP in compliance with all food safety requirements.
