CCH Kitchen Staff, Cooks & Bakers (Contract)
Camp Chief Hector YMCA (Exshaw, Alberta)
Salary Range: $16.50/hr - $18.00/hr (Free Room & Board included)
Dates: April 2023
End Date: September 4, 2023 (Possibility of contract extension)

What qualifications are we looking for?
At YMCA Calgary we strive to ensure our employees are a fit based on their strengths, interests, and future goals. The successful candidate will have the following;
· Experience working in food service;
· Enthusiasm towards working with a team to provide healthy and tasty meals for children, youth and staff;
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
· Current Standard First Aid and CPR C certification (CPR recertified within the last 12 months);
· Evidence of a clear Police Information Check including a Vulnerable Sector Search;
· Three professional references required.
What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?
Day to day you will:
· Prepare nutritious and delicious food for children and our staff teams;
· Create with passion food items and cater to events such as weddings, family weekends and retreats;
· Work on a team of 3-5 staff members with different shifts. Total Kitchen Team will be 15 to 17 staff members;
· Make sure the kitchen is always held to a high standard of sanitation and cleanliness;
· Assist in Baking production such as pies, tarts, pastries and snacks;
· Ensure food waste is kept to a minimum;
· Ensure all vegetarians and dietary restrictions are cared for;
· Model and support the values of Camp Chief Hector YMCA and YMCA Calgary.
