Our projects are GIS & Geospatial related, which means that knowledge of the Google Maps API, Google Earth API and/or CesiumJS libraries, ESRI’s ArcGIS for Server JavaScript and REST API’s and similar will be needed as time progresses. You will be required to learn how to leverage HTML5 for use on tablets or developing smartphone apps with any number of development frameworks.

Core Duties

Manage the day-to-day operations of i-Open’s consulting and Pre/Post Sales operations
Oversee the team’s multiple simultaneous implementation projects and project management best practices
Drive business process improvements for the team
Participate in pre-sales activities, including proposal preparation and presentations

Core Management

Work directly with sales and marketing to increase revenue through the pursuit and development of new business opportunities
Collaborate with cross-functional team to manage relevant aspects of the services and solutions practices
Develop reporting and measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of project management and project tracking
Provide management and leadership of the assigned technical team including responsibility for the recruitment and retention, resource allocation, time management, performance appraisals, and salary reviews
Plan, develop, directs and oversee all implementation of best-consulting services practices, policies and programs, procedures and personal activities of i-Open services delivery efforts
Oversee resource loading plans and ensure efficient use of technical resources, apportions projects among technical personnel according to specialized training and project requirements
Ensure appropriately consistent technical services approach and use of systems and tools across client requirements and products
Ensure appropriate metrics are established and utilized to manage and achieve on-time delivery to budget and required performance and quality
Oversee the formulation of designs, cost estimates, and specifications through application and development of Scope of Engagement, documents practices, and procedures
Employ accurate practices to estimate project budget and preparations of RFI’s and RFP’s
Develop a plan for the initiation and implementation of a Solutions Support Infrastructure

Project Management

Work with Project Managers to establish the PM function as a Centre of excellence, delivering integrated strategies, tools and initiatives to enhance and continuously improve the delivery model process
Evolve program and project management capabilities, delivery of solutions to clients and their implementation and leverage project management knowledge across the organization
Establish and integrate pm measures, metrics, thresholds and targets to drive performance in alignment with organization objectives including risk and operational management metrics
Cooperatively develop systems, processes and forums to capture and apply lessons learned to promote project management efficiency and quality
Liaise with external contractors and vendors where required for new and existing projects, managing resources to ensure client satisfaction
Oversee communications strategies and activities related to technical projects
Directly engage with technical staff to produce results and foster a work environment conducive to ongoing learning, mentoring and process involvement
Set applicable team and individual priorities and performance objects in coordination with other senior managers
Provide mentoring, coaching and performance feedback as required
Build and maintain positive collaborative relationships with internal and external clients and various stakeholder groups to promote buy into i-Open initiatives
Ensure that the procurement of high-value external services and contractors are retained for projects in accordance with establishing policies and accountabilities

Works with

Sales and Marketing to align client needs/requirements with the Services team as related to pre/post sales objectives
CEO to align the team’s operations with the strategy and needs of the market and client-driven needs
Marketing and Participates and delivers support in all aspects of i-Open marketing and branding strategies
Bottom line: Work with Executive Management, clients and delivery team to effectively meet Project Deliverables, Timelines, and Budgets
