The Faculty of Education in the University of New Brunswick invites applications for a three year limited term Instructor appointment in Educational Leadership and Counselling. This appointment will commence July 1, 2019.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a doctorate in Educational Leadership, Counselling or Psychology and have related experience, preferably school based. The applicant must demonstrate excellence in his/her teaching. Experience or willingness to strengthen linkages with the professional community is an asset. Post-Secondary experience is also an asset. The successful candidate should be eligible for certification as a counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
We are seeking someone who will take a leadership role in the design and delivery of graduate courses (both online and face-to-face) related to Educational Administration and Leadership and within Counselling. Strong teaching pedagogy is required. The candidate may also be required to do some graduate advising and application review.
The University of New Brunswick is one of the oldest public universities in Canada. It offers degrees in more than 60 disciplines encompassing a range of academic and professional programs. The Faculty of Education offers a variety of graduate and undergraduate programs in teacher education and adult education that are delivered face to face and on line. The Faculty is active in international programs and has been highly successful in obtaining research grants and contracts.
