Overview
As the Senior Project Manager you will lead brilliant teams comprised of direct and indirect project staff, including consultants to achieve success on multiple long term projects. Projects will typically have a higher budget and require strong risk management to control costs and deliver the expected quality, timelines and benefits as outlined in the business case.

Responsibilities
Manage the full project life cycle and ensure controls are in place to manage project constraints.
Lead project discussions and be an active member of the project team.
Create, execute and manage project plans, including scope, resources, schedules, budget, communication, risk and issue plans.
Manage the project schedule, milestones, deliverables and action items.
Mentor and develop junior project management staff
Organize and oversee the submission of key deliverables for approval.
Contribute to MPI standards and practice by working closely with the Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO).
Qualifications

Education:
Degree in Business, Commerce, or Computer Science.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, designation or equivalent.
Supplementary courses related to Project Management i.e. Risk Management, Program Management and Agile Project Management, are an asset.

Experience:
Eight to ten years’ related experience, including five years managing medium to large projects and special initiatives.
Specific experience in a project environment and/or process review is an asset.
Leadership experience is an asset.
Technical Knowledge and Skills

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate a diversified work group/project team.
Strong strategic and tactical planning skills, with the ability to align business and technology planning.
Superior interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to present information effectively to various audiences.
