We are currently looking for an MEP Project Manager to join our Construction Department.

DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the MEP Director, the MEP Project Manager will provide the technical expertise to the project team in all matters related to the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection work of the project. They will be responsible for the management, coordination and scheduling of all MEP activities on a large construction project located in downtown Montreal.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with the project team and other stakeholders through all phases of design and construction.
During the pre-construction phase, work with the professionals to lead the design coordination and integration of all MEP disciplines within the project scope.
Provide the project team with the proper direction regarding MEP construction processes and procedures and ensure the proper coordination of all on-site MEP activities.
Ensure that all MEP trades comply with design requirements, specifications, codes and bylaws.
Establish the MEP schedule with the project team and ensure all MEP scheduling objectives are met. Ensure a smooth transition to occupancy in accordance with project milestones.
Ensure functional testing of MEP systems are aligned with quality control standards and those of the commissioning plan.
Assist with troubleshooting all MEP issues as they arise.
Actively participate in all site, professional and client meetings, as required.
Coach, mentor and share knowledge with the project teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and/or a technical diploma in a related field
A minimum of 5-8 years of construction or consulting experience
A strong working knowledge of MEP engineering systems, principles and practices
Experience with functional testing of MEP systems
The ability to meet project delivery schedules
The ability to identify and document problems/conflicts and effectively manage and resolve them
The ability to communicate effectively (oral & written) in French and in English
