Why is this role important?
The Sr. Project Manager, Process and Efficiencies, works within Value Realization Office (VRO) and the enterprise-wide Process and Efficiency Transformation team. The focus of this role is to drive disciplined program management to achieve innovative change within the organization across multiple areas, enhancing customer and colleague experience while bringing value through efficiencies. The Senior Manager owns the performance management systems (milestones, action trackers, risk logs). This role directly supports the Director, Value Realization Office, and works closely with various levels of internal and external stakeholders on project delivery. They are embedded partners in the success of specific transformation work streams, including Enterprise Procurement, Supply Chain, and Pharmacy.
Works side-by-side daily with Work Stream Leads (WSL) & Initiative Owners (IOs) providing thought-leadership
Influences decision-making in a timely manner to help drive the transformation process
Meets with workstream teams to discuss risks, barriers to success and helps with their resolution
Facilitates the on-boarding of new ideas, including: ideation sessions, due diligence, approval and documentation
Collaborates with WSL to address shortfalls and accelerate initiatives where possible
Facilitates discussions with WSLs and IOs to meet project demands
Creates meeting agendas, records actions and follows up on their completion
Helps to keep executive sponsors informed by preparing concise, timely and accurate management board presentation materials
Drives consistency of approach across all workstreams
Helps the WSL drive initiatives forward by maintaining an awareness of upcoming initiative milestones and potential risks to completion
Able to have tough conversations, challenge IOs, and influence outcomes
Knowledgeable about the organization and can work strategically across the business
Partners with enablers to improve project performance and tracking (i.e. finance, IT, Customer COE, Organizational Change Management, etc.)
Supports transformation meetings, including action tracking, issue resolution and coordinates meeting logistics as needed
Understands and manages competing priorities, such as with base business and the transformation
Becomes an expert in the functionality of Wave (project management tool) used for day-to-day initiative management and overall transformation management / tracking
Track progress of initiatives at every stage to deliver on time and on financial targets
University or college degree in Business, or an equivalent degree in a related field of study
5-7 years of relevant work experience in retail, merchandising or operations is an asset
Strong business financial understanding
Experience leading projects using Project Management principles. PMP or other project management certification is an asset
Knowledge of Enterprise Procurement, Supply Chain, and / or Pharmacy is an asset
Understands strategic intent and workings of all divisions within the enterprise
Excellent communication skills both written & verbal with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas and actions to all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage timelines to ensure delivery of objectives
Ability to adapt positively to a changing environment and shifting priorities
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated skills in relationship building and influencing to achieve results
Strong team player with self-discipline and motivation to work independently

Superior technical skills (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook)
