Edward Jones is currently recruiting for a Branch Team Trainer. Our firm's top priority is to help long term investors meet their goals, and the Training Facilitation team is integral in helping our branch teams help our clients. In this role, your first mandate will be to train financial advisors, branch office administrators and branch teams to successfully acquire clients and support them in meeting their financial goals throughout their life time. You excel in delivering classroom facilitation, virtual instructor led, and one on one coaching. You understand that our trainees need to be equipped to build their practice, so engaging new clients and meeting regulatory requirements are priorities for the financial advisor, and you will be an integral part of the team that enables this skill building. You are results oriented, and this is evidenced by your ability to manage multiple priorities, you have a deep sense of ownership for the quality of your work, and the level of contribution you look to bring.
The Branch Team Trainer is responsible to:
Work with Financial Advisors to develop the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude to support their success within the respective steps of the training process and beyond. This is accomplished through classroom training, virtual instructor led training, one-on-one coaching, and conference calls. Examples include: facilitated learning that highlights best practices for client acquisition and management, individualized coaching and feedback on how to make prospective client contact and progress relationships by active listening, conducting virtual training on effective appointments, systems and time management training.
Provide follow-up and support to individual Financial Advisors while navigating the on-boarding/ training process, including preparing for classroom training sessions, conducting virtual courses, WebEx sessions and communication with various responsible parties.
Partner with Home Office associates that also support the Financial Advisor and branch team populations throughout the duration of their career with Edward Jones. Engage in conversations, projects, and initiatives that allows Edward Jones to continue to exceed the expectations of our clients, by ensuring the financial advisor and branch team continues to develop skill and acumen to meet the needs of our clients.
Manage various home office and field relationships and communication channels that support the Branch Team's long-term success by extending development support to each as they continue to grow their practice.
Contribute to the development of the Training Facilitation department by working on division and firm-wide projects, improving procedures and successfully implementing any changes to the curriculum and training processes.

Home based Associate?
Facilitation/training experience required, preferably in a corporate environment
3 years business experience and 2+ years of training/teaching experience
Knowledge and experience in applying adult education theory and methodology
Ability to master program objectives, learning objectives, program design, program content, and learning measures quickly
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
Certificate/Diploma in adult education highly preferred – must be willing to complete in the first 12 months
Canadian Securities Course (CSC) preferred - must be willing to complete in the first 6 months
Proficient use of computer systems
Ability to communicate information and ideas verbally as well as in writing
Ability to work flexible hours during class weeks or when required
