Infant Toddler Educator
The YMCA of Northern BC is seeking qualified, passionate
applicants to join our Prince George early years team!

Currently, the YMCA of Northern BC operates at 12 locations - child care,
preschool and out of school care locations in Prince George, Fort St James,
Vanderhoof and Fort St. John. We serve over 600 families with over 80

The Infant Toddler Educator will work as part of the child care team
providing care directly to zero to three year olds and reporting directly to
the Lac Des Bois Child Care Coordinator. The successful applicant has a
passion for delivering quality child care and building a culture of trust,
respect and appreciation. We are looking for an energetic individual who
would like the opportunity to grow and succeed with us.

Major Responsibilities and Abilities:
  • Establish and maintain positive daily communication and interaction with families, providing quality child
care, excellent service to families, and building meaningful relationships

  • Ensure all safety and supervision standards are implemented and maintained according to licensing and
YMCA requirements

  • Enthusiastic and positive nature
  • Physically and mentally able to spend your day delivering front line care in age appropriate ways using
best practice

  • Maintain good communication with your supervisor, colleagues, licensing officer and other community
members as needed

  • Current BC license to practice ECE-IT
  • Current Child Care First Aid Certification
  • Three professional references
Location: YMCA Lac Des Bois Care
and Learning Centre

Schedule: Full time, Monday –

Competitive wage:
  • $17.50-19.71/ hr depending on
  • paid sick days

approximately 3 weeks)
