The Instrumentation Field Operations Tech is a key member of a small tight knit Operations Maintenance group and will report to the Senior Operations Tech. This position is based out the CNRL Jackfish Lodge and will work a 7 on/ 7 off rotation, a company vehicle will be provided for travel to and from site (400 one-way km max.).
Performing both Instrumentation and Field Operations responsibilities this role will work Independently to service four facilities within the area and remote valve sites. The position consist of 80% operations and 20% maintenance.

Key Activities and Responsibilities:
Conduct regular site inspections at the Conklin stations to ensure EH&S, asset reliability and general housekeeping is maintained to the highest standard
Conduct routine operation and maintenance tasks (approx. 80% of time) such as;
Pipeline pigging
Weekly/monthly site inspections
Responsible for weekly and monthly compliance checks
Participate in the district on-call rotation as assigned
Conduct routine PM work orders, troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions
Support monthly meter proving activities.
Respond to pipeline maintenance and emergency conditions within the district as required
Provide support to Leak Detection and Measurement Group trouble shooting measurement issues and anomalies impacting the district
Work with Senior Operations Technician for planning/scheduling of day to day and weekly work activities.
Provide support to operations engineering and Project Development on assigned projects within the district
Execute assigned projects to plan (budget, quality and schedule)

Education, Skills and Experience:
Certified journeyman Instrumentation Tech
Ideal candidate will have 5+ year of related industry experience
Dual certification an asset
Strong communication, professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills needed
Proven strong work ethic with the ability to work independently
Strong computer skills
Class 5 drivers license with a satisfactory driver abstract

As this position is identified as safety and security sensitive, employment of a final candidate will be conditional upon completion of pre-employment medical, drug/alcohol and criminal background check assessments with satisfactory results.

Successful candidate must be able and willing to perform all physical requirements of the position including but not limited to walking, crouching, bending, standing, climbing and lifting up to 50lbs on a repetitive basis, in all weather conditions
