We’re looking for a Senior Front-End Developer based in Burnaby, BC.

This is a contractor position.

The Opportunity:
As a member of the web teams within the Digital Products Group, you will have a major impact on designing, building, and maintaining the web UI of one of the largest B2B marketplaces worldwide. You will be working alongside engineers to write highly optimized front-end applications supporting the Ritchie Bros. App ecosystem.

In this role you’ll:
Implement fully visualized screens provided by our design team, conforming to our front-end development standards.
Collaborate with architects, front-end developers and back-end developers in conceptualizing and developing high performing web systems.
Build reusable front-end components and abstractions.
Actively support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety: to send everyone home, every day, the way they came to work, by taking personal responsibility for your safety and safety of your team, co-workers and customers.

Here’s what you bring:
Adept understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
Proficiency developing well-structured web applications using React/Redux or other modern JavaScript tools
Understanding of asynchronous request handling and promise-based programming
Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
Familiar with front end build systems (e.g. Webpack) and package management (e.g. npm)
Ability to thrive in an Agile team environment, delivering value and challenging bad practices
Passion for crafting exceptional user experiences

Bonus:
Experience developing on Contentstack or other CMSes
Experience with Java development
