With Continuous Improvement (CI) as one of the five core values at Kohl + Frisch, we are looking for an experienced and innovative thinker for this key strategic role. As the CI Lead, you will discover, plan, develop, lead, promote, execute and facilitate CI projects and events. Working closely with the CI team, you will focus on helping create a lean and agile culture across the organization. In this high profile role, you will be challenged to make significant contributions to the business.

Major Responsibilities

  • Facilitate LEAN events within Supply Chain and ensure appropriate plans are developed and completed;
  • Apply best–in class practices and methodologies to improve processes and yield results efficiently and effectively;
  • Provide process engineering support and work closely with other groups within the company to gather and analyze data to present findings;
  • Independently manage and implement projects through working with stakeholders and cross functional colleagues;
  • Provide follow-up analysis on projects to ensure that planned efficiencies have been attained;
  • Report findings to executive members as required
  • Establish and manage strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering, Business and or equivalent process improvement experience and education
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position
  • Experience within a complex Supply Chain and Distribution Operation is an asset
  • 3+ years demonstrable experience in process improvement initiatives across operational and business management settings
  • Experience with managing significant change within an organization

  • Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience &/or training in LEAN, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement discipline
  • Continuous improvement certification in Green or BlackBelt level an asset
  • A background in project management is an asset
  • Advanced level skills in data analysis with MS Excel, knowledge of MS Access and MS Visio
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate at all levels within the organization
  • Experience in Supply Chain an asset.
  • Ability to exert influence to achieve the objectives of CI
  • Ability to implement relevant solutions to situational problems and changes
  • Ability to identify improvement opportunities
