At our Vancouver Head Office, we are hiring for a full-time Security Dispatcher/Command Centre Operator. This is a key customer service position in the company, responsible for making internal calls to our employees and ensuring their safety and well-being on the field. The Dispatch team is also the first point of contact for all inbound employee calls to the Head Office. You will be ensuring our Security Officers receive quick and efficient support.
This is a fast paced and at times high pressure environment. The Dispatcher will require the ability to multitask and make decisions quickly.
Acts as the main point of contact for all security guards
Schedules all after hour requests
Receives and responds to calls from clients, guards and alarm companies
Dispatches appropriate mobile resources to various sites
Maintains database records of all Securiguard policies and procedures
Manages break relief for Securiguard sites
Ensure employees are checking in every hour or as required
Providing customer service to our employees and the general public
Proficient in English, written and oral
Excellent oral communication skills
Previous dispatch experience is an asset
BC Security Licence (or ability to obtain)
Previous experience working with computers and two-way radio systems
Ability to work under stressful conditions, analyze and manage situations and make decisions rapidly
Ability to multitask and problem solve using sound judgement
Ability to work afternoon/evenings shifts and weekends.
