Position Purpose

Infoway is looking for a detailed, self-motivated, problem solving individual who will be responsible to administer, maintain, support, and troubleshoot infrastructure upon existing network and domain environments, services cross region, and handle disaster recovery. If needed, provide assistance and support to Infoway users.

The prospective candidate is a person who will help us stay cutting edge. Necessary skills include the ability to visualize innovative new solutions, implement new infrastructure and train other members of the team. The environment comprises Windows servers, Linux servers, and Windows clients. Large amount of virtualization used in the network and switches. The position will report to the Senior IT Manager.

Major Responsibilities

What your day will look like:
Install, configure and maintain a Windows, Linux, VMWare, Azure environment.
Install, configure and maintain networking equipment such as switches, firewall, access points (Cisco, Checkpoint, Ubiquity).
Manage the company's various SaaS platforms including email, video conferencing, identity management, antivirus, etc.
Maintain the security, performance and availability of Infrastructure and Services. Stay up-to-date with the latest security standards and vulnerabilities.
Provide expert assistance in setting up Servers, SAN, networking components such as VPN, Firewall, LAN/WAN infrastructure and Virtualization
Evaluate, test, and implement new IT solutions across the organization.
Ensure timely resolution of equipment failure and problems.
Report, record, track and escalate incidents with management and or vendors.
Establish, apply and flow Infoway processes. Ability to document your work and processes.
Respond to emergencies during non-regular business hours as needed.
Develop and update documentation on various systems and procedures.
Maintain, update and manage MDT server for deploying/configure core images onto laptops as per Infoway’s standards.
Strong ability to understand issue as they arise and assist in troubleshooting PCs / smart phones etc.
Undergraduate diploma or degree in Computer Technology or Computer Science.
Cisco/Windows/Linux/VMware Certification a plus.
Cloud Certification a plus.
5 years of experience in an IT role position.
2 years relevant work experience (high availability environment an asset).
Knowledge and understanding of SAN technology and Blade systems.
Knowledge of Windows (10/7) and Server (2008 or newer) with its core roles/features (including AD, DNS, IIS, etc.), services and server applications (RedHat knowledge an asset).
Knowledge and understanding of various network architecture and technologies (i.e. Active Directory, Exchange Server, O365, Direct Access, BlackBerry UEM, Wi-Fi, Cisco Switches, TCP/IP, NTFS/Share permissions, DNS, DHCP, Print/File Server, WDS/MDT, Sophos, Commvault, etc.)
Knowledge of virtualization based on vSphere (VMware ESXi, vCenter, SRM)
Knowledge and experience of LAN, WAN, Wireless, Routers, Switches, Firewalls.

This candidate will also be sharing on-call duties with other administrators and available to work after hours.
