Job Description:

In conjunction with our estimating team, you will be responsible for all tender pre-bid coordination and organization, making sure you are always well ahead of our estimators with pre-bid estimate packages.

After ascertaining it is the type of millwork job we want to bid, and it fits into our plants capacity schedule, you will procure electronic versions of architectural drawings, interior design drawings and specifications, from various constructions associations, or 3rd party tender data hosting companies, or directly from General Contractors, Architects and Interior Designer websites. You will organize the pre-bid estimate packages for our estimators with all pertinent tender documents, and will correspond with General Contractors, Architects and Interior Designers regarding missing millwork tender information or details, or to get clarification on discrepancies in the millwork tender documents. You will ask for addenda to be issued on these items and ensure these are all part of our tender estimate files.

You will compose a project summary of tender inclusions and exclusions, a description of cabinet manufacturing materials and specifications, and high-light to our estimators any specialty materials and hardware required for the project. You will highlight any one-off millwork items found on the drawings that the estimator might miss as they’re not well detailed on drawings

You will be responsible for handling numerous tender files at the same time, multi-tasking is an essential asset.

The position will entail you assisting our estimators as directed to obtain specialty item supplier pricing to ensure our estimators can prepare as accurate as possible competitive tenders

The position will entail you completing post-bid tender follow-ups to find out who the low general contractor was,and if we were in fact the low millwork bid. Low bid tenders are handed back to the estimator for further detailed discussions with the low general contractor.

All post-bid data is to be entered into our active quotation excel spreadsheets, and the paper file folders filed away in an orderly fashion as directed
