Summary of Position

Reporting to the President, the Senior Business Development Manager will strengthen our market position and maximize business performance within the Custom Fixture Program and Digital Experiences sectors. Core duties include building new client relationships, uncovering new business opportunities, communicating with key internal and external stakeholders, and negotiating and closing deals, as well as ongoing account management. Experience in networking, negotiation, communication, business acumen, sales, and analytical thinking is required. The successful candidate will possess a high level of technical skill and have the ability to interact confidently with our design, engineering and production teams to ensure we continue to deliver great projects to our blue-chip clients within the retail, institutional and commercial real estate sectors. The candidate will also be expected to work well under pressure and be comfortable meeting sales targets and other business development metrics.

Role & Responsibilities

Seizing New Business Opportunities

  • Spearhead business development initiatives that are consistent with company's overall strategy
  • Proactively solicit customers through outbound marketing activities, cold calling, RFP's, general networking, to meet monthly targets for new customer interactions, lead generation
  • Answer inquiries and develop proposals, negotiate terms and conditions, and implement contractual agreements
  • Develop Custom Fixtures and Digital Experience Programs by targeting both existing and new clients and target markets
  • Strengthening partnerships with industry partners such as architects, agencies and construction companies.
  • Create and meet revenue targets
  • Work with internal marketing team to ensure support for new customer acquisition initiatives
Pro-Active Account Management

  • Define requirements which meet the client and business needs
  • Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure complete and timely execution and delivery
  • Identify risk factors and provide mitigation strategies and solutions
  • Deal effectively with all aspects of client concerns or issues
  • Coordinate and support the internal design and engineering teams to enhance product and services
  • Ensure on time, on budget delivery of projects per the quality expectations.
  • Create quarterly and annual business forecasts for existing and new business per account
Driving Product and Service Development

  • Influence product development direction by reviewing internal systems and procedures, conducting competitive analysis, monitoring trends, and making recommendations
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer needs and desires through user research, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and turning those insights into products and services that amaze our customers
  • Research industry trends to contribute to regular communications with existing and potential clients to position Envision as a thought leader and industry expert
  • Create new design and product ideas to drive continued business growth
Qualifications & Skills Required

  • 5+ years' experience in a business to business sales/development role in a related industry (custom fixture programs and/or digital experiences, or similar)
  • A proven track record of sales success and revenue generation
  • Solid experience in developing brand, retail design and engagement strategies
  • Knowledge of Lead Generation, Outbound Marketing, Social Media strategies
  • A strong understanding of commercial management, such as proposal writing, contract negotiation, and pricing
  • Experience in selling and managing high profile programs for blue chip clients in the banking, retail and real estate industries
  • Ability to develop and deliver high impact presentations both electronically and in person
  • Excellent Leadership and People Management Skills

  • Ability to translate customer and business needs into outstanding products and services

  • Undergraduate degree in a design or business-related field is an advantage
  • Relevant training and education (such as PMP designation, sales specific training etc.) is desirable
