Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, configure and build our Linux, Windows servers
  • Design, documentation and support of server automation (e.g. Ansible AWX, Vagrant, Cloud Formation, Terraform)
  • Implement containerization software using Docker and related orchestration frameworks
  • Design, construct, integrate, test, and support of reliable and reusable automation solutions
  • Continuously improve and automate the deployment and proactive monitoring of infrastructure and software
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure all systems and software are optimized
  • Provide technical assistance for code builds and deployments
  • Help maintain, improve and build continuous integration systems
  • Provide technical assistance for code builds and deployments
  • Create monitoring solutions and instrument applications to provide insights into performance.
  • Troubleshoot build and maintain infrastructure for our web site and internal systems
  • Perform software, firmware and hardware upgrades/patching to ensure the integrity of network infrastructure components (physical and virtual)

Preferred Skills:

Demonstrated Working Experience in the following:

  • PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, NoSQL, and ElasticSearch
  • jBoss, WebSphere Application Server, native Oracle Java / Open Java applications, and Apache Tomcat
  • Build automation tools: Maven (required), make, Gradle (nice to have)
  • Subversion, Git, Atlassian Bamboo and Bitbucket
  • Nexus repository, Jenkins and rpm deployment projects
  • Good understanding of VMware, Docker and Kubernetes VM/container orchestration
  • Familiarly with specialized applications services such as LDAP, SMTP, SFTP, SNMP, etc. would be an asset
  • Knowledge of IT security principles
  • Work closely with other members of IT
  • Perform tasks in an efficient and effective manner
  • Ability to exhibit a positive attitude and to deal with coworkers and customers tactfully and courteously in order to maintain effective service-oriented relationships
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow oral and written instructions


  • Minimum 2 years experience;
  • working experience in a financial industry a PLUS;
  • College degree

Additional Notes: Due to the nature of 24/7 infrastructure requirements, this position may involve work outside normal business hours based on customer and operational needs.
