We are looking for an enthusiastic data-driven individual to assume the role of Competitive Intelligence Analyst within the Portfolio Management Team. Reporting to the Personal Insurance Portfolio Manager, your role will provide competitive and business analysis supporting Portfolio Management and Underwriting decision-making. The successful candidate will be able to transform data into action-oriented analysis that drives improved business decision-making across the organization. The successful candidate will be team-oriented with very strong technical and communication skills and the ability to work independently. What you will achieve in this role
Specifically this role includes but is not limited to;
o build systems and processes to streamline competitive reviews and analysis
o build competitive pricing summaries on market movement and RSA positioning within market on key product and customer segments
o build analysis of key competitor actions on market positioning focusing on competitive product and underwriting response
o monitoring underwriting and product changes within the marketplace and creating a mechanism to collate, summarize and feed information to drive business actions and response.
o complete business analysis leveraging internal decision-making leveraging internal and industry information
o working with Underwriting, Actuarial and Portfolio Management to measure the competitive impact of various product and pricing proposals and influence the business decision-making process to support RSA’s corporate goals.
o an integral team member on our Portfolio Management Team, your business insight and technical capability influence and set business direction
What you bring to this role
You are professionally educated with a university degree preferably in Business/Economics/Math.

Creative problem-solving ability leveraging your analytical capabilities.

You focus your analysis on answering the question “And this is important because………”
Someone who wants to make a difference.

Ideally you bring a minimum of 1-3 years insurance experience and bring a sense of passion and curiosity to the role, however the insurance experience requirements may be relaxed for the right individual who has demonstrated excellence in their academic or non-insurance work related career.
You have effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
French oral and written skills are a strong asset.
Strong computer skills in MS office are a must.
