Our Maintenance team has opportunities for experienced individuals in the role of First Line Manager (FLM), Maintenance in various locations across site.
This is a permanent, full-time position which offers a competitive benefits, compensation and pension package and is located on site in Tiverton, Ontario.
What will you be responsible for?
On a shift or day basis, the FLM, Maintenance leads a team of maintenance personnel, contract staff and/or project/material management and are responsible for the safe, effective execution of the work in accordance with approved procedures. By acting as coach, facilitator, and supervisor, they will work to create and sustain a cooperative and supportive team environment. Core work includes developing recommendations for improvement in Maintenance plans and procedures, tools and techniques. They will provide effective support to the Manager in the planning, organization, administration, scheduling and execution of short and long term maintenance programs/unit outages.

Waste, Custodial, Warehouse, Grounds and Roads, Building Maintenance, Crane Crew, Sheet Metal Shop, Scaffold Crew, Insulator Crew, Civil Assessors, Transport &Work Equipment Garage, Maintenance Programs
Supervise Mechanical Maintainers, Mechanical Assessors at Bruce A, Bruce B, Centre of Site or Maintenance Programs
Supervise Shift Control Technicians, Control Maintenance Assessors at Bruce A, Bruce B, Centre of Site or Maintenance Programs
Education and Experience
Requires knowledge of control, mechanical or civil technology sufficient to understand the assembly, function, operations and mechanics of applicable equipment, systems, and materials
This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired through the completion of Grade XII plus 3 years' further concentrated study in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil or by having the equivalent level of education
Requires on-the-job experience, such as might be gained in a power plant, refinery or chemical plant, associated with the installation, operation and maintenance of same to become thoroughly familiar with assembly processes, testing and trouble-shooting procedures and maintenance, modification and repair techniques
Requires experience to understand, apply, and utilize Operating Policies and Procedures, station reference plans, radiological and conventional safety procedures, regulations, legislation, work protection and Quality Assurance (QA) standards, communications tools, etc, as needed to effectively perform work function
A period of 6 years and up to and including 8 years is considered necessary to gain this experience
