Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 5 years or more (No specific parachute experience required).

Ability to Supervise: 3-4 people

Specific Skills: Establish work schedules, Prepare production and other reports, Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality, Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies, Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers, Train staff/workers in job duties (sewing, etc.), safety procedures and company policies, Set up sewing machines and equipment, Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions, Establish methods to meet work schedules, Co-ordinate work activities with other departments.

Duties: Co-ordinating and participating in the activities related to parachute system production;
Inspection and quality control of incoming parachute systems and components;
Operate and maintain sewing machines and related parts. Read and interpret work orders and adjust machines and materials to match, including selecting fabric, thread and needles. Inspect and repair finished products as needed and make machines adjustments to compensate for errors and quality issues; Examine, assemble and pack specialized cargo parachutes.

Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Workers Supervised: Sewing machine operators, Inspectors and testers, fabric, fur and leather products manufacturing, Labourers in textile processing, Textile dyeing and finishing machine operators, Textile inspectors, graders and samplers
