The Crate Escape Dog Adventures is looking to add a new Adventure Hike Leader!

The position REQUIRES the successful applicant to:

  • Manage the safe care of multiple dogs off-leash at one time
  • Problem solve and make critical decisions on the fly
  • Hold a class 5 drivers licence
  • Provide a clean drivers Abstract & Criminal record check
  • Safely drive a truck with precious cargo in all weather conditions
  • Work efficiently as a team and independently
  • Provide clear verbal and typed communication compassionately and effectively to clients and team members
  • Have previous professional dog handling experience; including but not limited to daycare, veterinary, and/or grooming experience.

The Crate Escape offers a variety of pet care services including Adventure Hikes, In-Home Boarding and Behaviour Modification Training.
We are looking for a team member who will be responsible for our Adventure Hikes, with the potential for growth into other aspects of the company.

An Adventure Hike Leader takes our four-legged friends off-leash hiking in the forest. This position includes transportation of dogs from their homes to our hiking locations in the beautiful North Okanagan where we guide the pack on a fun filled adventure.
But we do more than just guide them through the forest. As a Crate Escape team member, you will be responsible for their behaviour and socialization skills, so dog handling experience is a must.
