We are in search of a long-term, full-time Assistant Lead Baker who is experienced, self-motivated, reliable, and respects teamwork. This candidate will ideally have 3 years of baking experience and be passionate about food and baking. This position needs to be filled as soon as possible.
The Pastry Assistant works with the pastry chef to create delicious and beautiful French pastries as well as pies, tarts, quiche, cakes, specialty cookies, macarons, custards . . .and many other French specialty items. The position is full time, 5 shifts per week. Shifts run approximately 6am til 2pm. Available to work at least one day per weekend as we are open 7 days a week.
Experience assets: Dough lamination (croissant and puff pastry), Cake decoration, French Macarons.
Must haves: Passion for baking and patisserie
Culinary degree and professional experience (min. 2 years)
Attention to detail, high standards for quality and consistency
Ability to follow directions, house recipes and be consistent
Great work ethic, showing reliability and punctuality
Great attitude and sense of humor

Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
