Job Summary…

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for source selection associated with the company’s needs for materials, equipment and services. The position is primarily focused on cost effective acquisition, good quality and delivery on time. And this position is responsible for issuing PO, creating vendor & employee number by using SAP based on acquired information. The position is further responsible for helping policies & strategies for procurement.

The challenges of the job…

Your key duties and responsibilities include:
Makes inquiries regarding prices, quality of goods, delivery details, and other information that need to be considered before issuing POs to supplier

Secure and analyze RFA & quotations, negotiates prices and terms with suppliers, and recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality and timely delivery competitiveness

Ensures that all purchasing is in accordance with GCBT policies

Enter or review purchase order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices, delivery date, material group, G/L account) into SAP and create material code & vendor as needed

Creates and terminates employee number as needed regularly

Contact suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems and to obtain credits or refunds where applicable for returned, damaged, or spoiled goods

Assist in resolving Accounts Payable invoice discrepancies and variances with POs

Expedite & check outstanding purchase orders on a regular basis

Act as a liaison between suppliers and involved departments to resolve procurement related problems

Seek new suppliers based on price, quality, availability, reliability, and technical support

Review the current suppliers on a regular basis and seek better prices and suppliers

Collect supporting documents for assets or equipment on a day-to-day basis

Forecast value of materials that we will need for the future based on production schedule

Establish weekly / monthly report for POs to be ordered with amount & contents

Maintain and update list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development

Performs other related duties such as special assignments and annual major objectives as required

Declares ethanol usage to federal government on every month basis & renew permit as needed

Do you have…

The following qualifications and skills:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration

3 to 5 years of procurement experience

SAP experience

English and French
