About the Role:
The Inventory Control Clerk role is ideal for those who love to work independently and stay active, while being supported by a collaborative team in a fast-paced unionized environment. Loblaw is highly safety focused, and our goal is for colleagues to feel confident in their role and go home safe at the end of the day.
Recouping damaged stock for return to selection location and/or preparing them for donation / disposal
Disposal of goods unfit for sale via organic recycling program
Adjusting stock through the Radio Frequency equipment or Manhattan Warehouse Management System
Removing inventory from selection locations due to quality / code date concerns and systematically through the Manhattan Warehouse Management System
Performing inventory validations on selection and reserve locations
Investigating and reporting discrepancies related to inventory movement
Other duties as required
You bring a positive attitude that will help strengthen our great culture and live our CORE values of Care, Respect, Ownership
Other Skills You Will Require:
Completed or completing a Secondary School Diploma or GED Equivalent is considered an asset
Ability to lift 20-30 lbs repetitively. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs on occasion.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
Must be computer literate and have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
Comfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment (1 to -28 Degrees Celsius)
Experience operating an electric-powered pallet jack would be considered an asset
