POSITION SUMMARY:
Directs and coordinates the production, distribution, and warehousing operations for the distribution center by performing the following duties either personally or through subordinates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains a safe work environment assuring that all safety requirements including OSHA, environmental regulations, and best practices are met.
Ensure timely shipment of all customer orders both internal and external customers.
Ensure timely receipt, put away, and filing of paperwork for all incoming product.
Ensure timeliness and integrity of all inventory transactions.
Ability to understand and help slot the DC based on standard inventory and picking strategies.
Manage and maintain an effective cycle count program to achieve specified inventory accuracy rate.
Maintain and report out on DC metrics, daily, weekly, and monthly.
Prepare labor plans based on demand and department production rates.
Responsible for hiring and supervision of all DC personnel in accordance with company policy.
Responsible for training and development of all DC personnel in accordance with company policies.
Establish and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Conduct effective staff meetings to organize warehouse activities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Must have over five (5) years of Management experience in a warehouse environment with P&L responsibility.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics or related field required or an equivalent of education and experience.
Experience with Industry recognized Continuous Improvement/Lean programs.
Proficiency in planning, staffing, and budgeting.
Develop effective relationships and provide leadership.
Successful communication - written and verbal.
Establish priorities and multi-task.
Possess professional/executive business demeanor.
Proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel
Demonstrated knowledge of ERP & WMS transactions.
Experience with a variety of material handling equipment (standard forklifts, order pickers, & reach trucks).

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Develop the budget for their facility.
Development of continuous improvement culture.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
