Based in our head office in downtown Vancouver, BC, the Corporate FP&A team is growing, and we are adding another senior member into the role of Manager, FP&A. This high visibility role, equivalent to an experienced manager in other industries, will help drive analytical insight of consolidated results as well as provide forward-looking financial support. Interfacing with senior leadership, you are a relationship builder and will quickly gain the trust and respect of stakeholders. With significant complexity of Quadreal’s business structure and consolidated financial results, this position requires a well-rounded professional with solid technical accounting skills as well as an intuitive analytical mind. You have a strong understanding of financials and can also fluently tell the story behind the numbers which will assist with forward-looking investment decision analysis. You will participate and influence global consolidations, analysis, performance measurement and planning initiatives.

Confident in your delivery of financial results and analytical insight, you will regularly interact with senior leadership. As a trusted partner, you will engage, support and influence investment strategies. You are not comfortable with status quo and are always driving change and business process improvements.

Responsibilities:
Lead/Drive/Direct and guide the quarterly and annual board level reporting and business review & insights
Lead/Drive/Direct the annual budget process, quarterly rolling forecasts as well as long-range strategic planning process
Develop and/or analyze complex multi-dimensional financial models supporting budgets, forecasts, strategic plans, and business initiatives analysis. These models will assist with understanding the impact of investment and outcomes on financial and operational metrics.
Drive key insights & make recommendations to the Management Board, Audit Committee, and Board of Directors.
Develop and prepare business initiative analysis for future business structure considerations and/or transactions. This will include:

o Driving key insights & recommendations.

o Evaluating, understanding and communicating the business and financial impact.

o Implementing transformation initiatives and change across the organization.

Recommend and drive business process improvements and systems efficiencies, partnering closely with Accounting, IT, and Business Operations to ensure best practices are applied and best-in-class system capabilities are in place
Provide on-going support to internal stakeholders through analysis of results, outcomes and key performance measurements
Develop tools and reporting capabilities for Senior leadership to assist with assessing financial and operational performance
Provide direction, mentorship and guidance to Analysts within the FP&A team
Plan, execute and manage assigned ad-hoc projects while ensuring meeting project objectives
Execute and deliver the FP&A team responsibilities with actionable, timely and accurate analysis.
While fostering a culture of collaboration and support, act as the lead Business Partner with specified other departments on behalf of the FP&A team.
Collaborate as a resourceful FP&A team member, continually adding value to the business and organization.

Professional Experiences & Qualifications

Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, Investment Banking, Data Analytics and/or Corporate Finance supporting C-suite. Big 4 trained is an asset.
In-depth expertise with “what if” scenario mapping and in-depth financial analysis. Demonstrated ability to analyze and draw insights from complex information and to deliver complex concepts to non-financial leaders in a straightforward manner.
Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills.
Advanced knowledge of financial reporting, financial analysis, business concepts and performance metrics
Displays strong aptitude and experience working with technology in a finance environment

o Proficiency with accounting/financial systems, ERP, analytical tools, BI tools, MS Office applications.

o Highly beneficial if have prior experience with ERP and reporting systems such as JD Edwards, Yardi, PowerBI, and CPM systems.

Solid understanding of accounting/finance principles (IFRS, GAAP), and operational finance.
Ability to locate and collect data from appropriate sources, verify, analyze, and prepare meaningful summaries to drive insights getting to the “so what, now what”.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
o Extensive experience with effectively and confidently presenting to C-Suite.

o Strong ability to clearly and concisely communicate to internal teams & external stakeholders at varying levels.

o Excellent critical thinking and time-management skills to complete duties accurately and in accordance with established deadlines; Ability to prioritize workload and handle competing priorities and deadlines.

o Ability to adapt to work effectively in changing situations; ability to “change gears “quickly as needed.

University degree with major in business, finance, mathematics, accounting, or economics. Holding or is working toward a MBA, CFA, CPA or other relevant professional designation is considered an asset
