Paramount Services is looking to hire a HVAC/Refrigeration Service Manager.
As an HVAC/Refrigeration Service Manager you will lead a team of service technicians who work with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. In addition to performing service duties you will coordinate activities of all technicians to ensure that all maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC equipment are properly completed in an efficient manner.
Interviews, screens, and evaluates new HVAC service technicians and recommends for potential service technician personnel.
Identifies training needs of staff and facilitates delivery of training. Trains HVAC technicians in procedures and usage of equipment.
Ensures appropriate employee safety training and compliance is completed.
Responsible for working with the dispatch team on all customer and technical issues.
Responsible for working with service technicians in the field and dealing with complaints from customers and technicians.
Track, refill, and maintain truck stock and tools for all service vehicles.
Responsible for maintaining service margins and profit.
Create and implement changes to increase revenue and gain market share.
Enforce the processes and procedures to create more efficient and profitable service business.
Facilitates management and departmental meetings.
Ensures that all service revenue grows.
Reviews quotes to verify technical accuracy.
Reviews warranty, service, start-up repair, and installation needs.
Assist Billing Department with invoice review.
Complies with all applicable health and safety regulations, policies, and established work practices.
Two (2) years Technical training or bachelor’s degree recommended, but not required.
Five (5) plus years of successful and recent HVAC service management background.
Must have experience and/or knowledge of the industry.
Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite).
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to perform advanced level maintenance related tasks on HVAC equipment.
Problem solving and conflict management are recommended skills.
Ability to generate ideas and create processes to grow service department.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to work well with all levels of management, executive leadership and support staff, as well as with employees.
