Our Corporate Finance team specialize in advisory services to mid-market clients on merger, acquisition, divestiture and financing transactions, both debt and equity, in a variety of industries. Our primary industry focus includes automotive, industrial products, mining, food and beverage, manufacturing, engineering services, healthcare and technology.

The PwC Corporate Finance group is characterized by small deal teams with a strong focus on middle-market transactions. This affords our Associates the unique opportunity to work directly with senior-level staff both internally and at our clients.

As a Senior Associate, you will play an essential role as part of a team working on a particular transaction or business development efforts. You will actively participate in originating and executing a wide variety of transactions across numerous industries.

For instance in a M&A sell-side process, this would include the initial proposal, gathering and analyzing company and industry information, preparing a written memorandum, meeting with potential investors/buyers, participating with senior staff in determining the negotiating strategy and working with the deal team to close the transaction.

In general, as a Senior Associate your work will include detailed industry and company research, financial analysis and modeling, as well as proposal and other and document preparation on a variety of client and business development initiatives.

Keep current on industry and M&A trends affecting clients

Contribute to discussions (ask questions, provide valued input) and provide value added comments regarding our client’s business

Transaction work frequently involves working with colleagues from other areas of Deals Services and other lines of services on an international basis.

It is typical for the individuals in this role to work extended hours.

A Chartered Accountancy (CA) designation, Completion of first level CFA or an MBA is an asset

A minimum of 2 years finance-related experience

Previous financial modeling experience

An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work.

Eager to participate in business development opportunities and initiatives

Demonstrated ability to be creative and effective in issue resolution

Possesses leadership potential and aspirations

Communicates effectively both orally and in written format.
