The Senior Human Resource Advisor (SHRA) coordinates various Human Resources/Labour Relations matters with managers, coordinators and Society employees. In this role you will act as a partner to various programs, you are also able to understand their current needs while providing human resources guidance and support aligned to program requirements with the organization’s mission and guiding principles.
As a SHRA you will advise on labour relations matters, collective agreement interpretation, sensitive leave management and occupational plans. In addition you will be responsible for a variety of transactional and analytical assignments. To be successful in this role you possess an exceptional customer services approach, strong critical thinking & interpretation skills as well as data administration experience.
This position communicates and works collaboratively with external parties such as Disability Management Institute, WorkSafe BC, and Community Social Service HR/LR Advisors.
Internally this position works as part of a highly collaborative team in order to deliver key services on a timely basis and will handle a variety of tasks that are confidential in nature. Works in partnership with the Director, Human Resources & Strategic Resources and key stakeholders to create, develop and implement effective organization-wide human resources initiatives, polices and processes.
A degree or certificate in Human Resources, CPHR designation preferred.
Minimum of five years as a human resources generalist in a unionized environment including labour relations and disability management.
Non-profit experience is preferred.
Complete the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Record Check.
Salary $61,200 Annually.
Work Location 749 Pandora Ave.
Work Days Monday to Friday.
Shift Times 9:00am - 5:00pm.
Hours of work 40 hours weekly.
