We are seeking an extraordinary, enthusiastic Associateto join our People and Culture Team.
Our future teammate will support the Business Partners with a variety of P&C coordination responsibilities. The Associate is the liaison between the Business Partners and teammates, and ensures smooth communication, prompt resolution of all queries and excellence in delivering P&C programs and policies to the organization..
We are looking for teammates with:
University Degree/College Diploma in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations or a related program
CHRP attained or in progress
1-2 years' experience as HR Assistant or in a similar role
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. HRIS and/or payroll experience an asset.
Proven ability to effectively manage and execute multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously and in an organized fashion
Proven leadership potential/ability to influence others and build cooperative relationships
Exceptional communication and active listening skills
Demonstrated ability to take initiative on challenging issues and to be proactive
Demonstrated ability to critically analyze issues and provide objective options/recommendations
Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain a high level of confidentiality
Personally aligned with APL's values and able to effectively demonstrate these values
This teammate will be accountable for:
Collaborate with and support the National P&C Business Partners across Corporate and Operations/Estates on a variety of P&C initiatives and processes to deliver a superior the teammate experience
Manage the internal and external short-term and long-term disability claims management process
Manage WSIB reporting and investigations and guide managers through the process to ensure strict processes are followed to mitigate costs to the business
Point of contact for teammate and manager enquiries regarding P&C policies and procedures
Responsible for coordinating and preparing change and new hire letters across all business units
Mange P&C Organization Announcements by console
dating, drafting and distributing communications company wide
Partner with Operations and Estates functions, P&C Business Partners and Talent Development to develop and implement annual plan for Harvest and Seasonal recruitment process
Assists managers in preparing new hires for successful integration into the Company and follows up with new hires to ensure a seamless onboarding and immersion experience
Co-facilitate new hire onboarding sessions and support hiring managers to deliver P&C components of onboarding and immersing new teammates
Support annual Talent Development Review administration and delivery for salaried and hourly teammates.
Manage the monthly Organization Charts to ensure they accurately reflect all business unit changes and are available to all users.
Participates in the creation and executive of People & Culture initiatives on a departmental and national scale.
