Corel has a large portfolio of Mac and Windows graphics applications, Cloud platform solutions and we manage many web services for operating, complementing or assisting these applications.

We are looking for a Database Administrator who will be in charge of the web database servers or services, reporting to our Senior Database Administrator Lead and will collaborate with other IT team members in their related projects.

We are looking for team players who are motivated by technical challenges, eager to exercise excellent problem-solving skills, and enthusiastic about implementing new solutions with innovative technologies.

Responsibilities:
Coordinates the data administration technical function for both web database systems development and maintenance.

Facilitates change control, problem management, and communication among data architects, programmers, analysts, engineers, and final users.

Establishes and enforces processes to ensure a consistent, well managed, and well-integrated database infrastructure.

Analyzes and identifies data and metadata requirements.

Designs, implements, and supports data warehousing requirements. Implements business rules via stored procedures, middleware, or other technologies.

Skills and experience:
Database management, maintenance, optimization and performance tuning supporting medium/large global infrastructures (3 years+)

Experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL (3 years+)

Experience in ETL development and maintenance, data migration, transformation, and scripting (2 years+)

Experience with Oracle and SQL Server including SSIS / SSRS is a plus

Experience with AWS Redshift and related technologies like AWS Glue/Spark, Athena and S3 is a plus

Experience with AWS Aurora is a plus

Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, DynamoDB is a plus

Experience with Redis is a plus

Experience with scripting languages database related (SQL) or others (Python, PowerShell ..).

Experience with high availability technologies such as Clustering and AlwaysON is a plus;

Experience with database backup and recovery strategies and implementation

Experience in working with vendors to support mission critical problem escalation and resolution issues.

Ability to work independently on project tasks or operational issues but act as a key member of a global IT team.

Strong technical communication, organizational, research and troubleshooting skills.
