Department/ Division Description:
After adding Salesforce CRM and full marketing suite in 2019, Goway’s Marketing team is growing and evolving to meet our sales demand and company growth. 2020 will see digital marketing leadership focus on more personalized and intelligent automated marketing, and this dedicated role around direct digital marketing and web will be an incredible opportunity to drive change within a growing team and exciting industry from the ground up. The digital marketing team is part of a larger marketing team including content writers, coordinators, and designers.

Job Responsibilities:

In close coordination with Marketing team and Digital Marketing Manager, this role will have three core functions:

Execute day to day email and digital channel marketing, including scheduling, building, testing, deployment, reporting and data importing (subscriber data, performance data, etc.)
Manage 3rd party email marketing executions which includes, liaising with 3rd party stakeholders, helping to maintain 3rd party email schedule, building responsive emails for these channels.
Assisting in the management of our B2B and B2C websites which includes; content building, updates, improving user experience, uploading content and tracking, helping to improve page structure and performance of key pages.



In tandem with Marketing team, on weekly basis create emails following an editorial calendar. Support and be supported by our team of content writers, designers, product managers, coordinators and management.
Contribute to the growth, enhancement and protection of our databases
Actively participate and promote discussions around enhancing optimization and personalized email
Troubleshoot technical issues around email design, testing and deployment, list segmentation, etc.
Know email legal technicalities, including being our CASL champion, and willing to learn all travel industry marketing requirements under TICO.
Initiate and support increased CRM integration opportunities to create new advanced email capabilities
Working with technology, CRM administration and marketing team, help form and target new audience segments along existing and to-be-discovered data points, ensuring data plans are in long with overall strategy
Work closely with our Salesforce Marketing Cloud Specialist to enhance our customer experience along personalization and trigger point approaches.
Provide Recommendations how to better achieve results across the email execution process
Measure and optimize results from campaigns using a variety of testing and monitoring methods (A/B, CTR, Open Rate, Opt-Out, Conversion, etc)
Develop new and review existing documentation around roadmap processes, such as A/B tests, QC checks, regular promotions, etc.


In tandem with both our Operations and Marketing team, maintain and action ongoing website updates, content uploads and fixes.
Front-end maintenance of our consumer facing website including content loading, meta data, image uploads, error fixes, manage expiring content, campaign tracking etc.
Maintain the accuracy and hygiene of our key landing pages including, relevant content, images, promotions etc.
Upload new content to our Trade website when delivered from content team/and or product managers.
Work with the Digital Marketing Team to execute strategic improvements to all websites


Proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud email marketing and marketing automation technology
Highly analytical and able to derive meaning from data through A/B testing and email optimization
University or College Degree in Marketing, E-commerce, Online Media or equivalent·
3+ years digital marketing experience, specifically within data, email/CRM or personalization (Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a requirement) ·
Working knowledge of HTML & CSS
Excellent oral and written communication skills ·
An excellent understanding of email marketing concepts and metrics such as sender score, deliverability, and sender reputation


Documented creator of at least 5 dynamically populated Emails
Documented creator of at least 5 automations in a sophisticated Email Service Provider (ESP) platform including: File transfer, Data Import, Data Manipulation and Email Delivery.
A professional or personal history involving writing for newsletters, blogging, and or email promotions.
Basic-intermediate design platform skills (e.g. Photoshop)
Experience any of the following scripting languages is a plus; JavaScript, Python, SQL or PHP

  • Knowledge and experience in a wide range of marketing techniques and concepts
  • Be organized, detail-oriented
  • MS Office Suite
Experience with Photoshop, In-Design an asset
